Office recovery & Relocation

Office recovery

Whether office recovery is required during an office relocation has a significant impact on the overall timeline. In some cases, the building management designates a specific contractor for the restoration, while in others, tenants are allowed to choose their own.

1)In case of carrying out by the building’s designated contractor
When the office recovery is carried out by the building’s designated contractor, the cost may be higher.

2)In case tenants are free to select their own contractor without building requirements
Although it is necessary to manage the schedule carefully — including prior confirmation of building regulations and construction inspections up to the handover — tenants can compare and select contractors based on pricing.

Restoration requirements are a key consideration that should always be confirmed before moving into a new office space. For instance, companies that occupy pre-fitted offices are often required to fully remove all interiors and restore the space to its original condition upon departure. To avoid unexpected costs or delays, it’s essential to review all move-out and restoration terms carefully before signing the lease.

Relocation

At CRAFTEC, we support our clients from the very first stage of preparing for an office relocation. Every detail — from numbering desks and seating positions to defining carton labeling and packing rules — is carefully coordinated with your in-house team in Vietnam.

Choosing a local mover based solely on low cost can lead to serious risks, such as delays in pickup, careless handling of furniture, or scratches and damage to your newly finished office.

The ideal timing for relocation is typically Friday evening through the weekend, allowing your team to start work smoothly in the new office on Monday morning.

CRAFTEC offers a comprehensive one-stop service — including interior construction, office relocation, and reinstatement — ensuring a smooth, efficient, and worry-free moving experience.

On-site survey / Quotation

Review and confirmation of moving conditions

We will investigate the building regulations regarding move-out and move-in for both the current and new properties, and confirm whether the overall relocation schedule is feasible. Additionally, we will review the details regarding the reuse of OA equipment, furniture, and chairs, and provide a quotation.

If there is a network service provider involved, we will also confirm in advance the scope of equipment to be moved and the details of reinstallation.

Relocation and New Office Opening

STEP, 3

Relocation and New Office Opening

Typically, packing of reusable office furniture and equipment begins on Friday evening. About a week before the move, cardboard boxes and packing materials are delivered, and the client is expected to finish packing documents and personal items by the moving day. Reusable PCs, furniture, and fixtures are packed by CRAFTEC staff on the day of the move.
The relocation itself takes place from Friday night through Saturday, with setup of reusable furniture and equipment completed on Sunday. On Monday morning, the client’s staff organize their workstations and connect their PCs, so regular operations can resume smoothly by Monday morning.

Start of property restoration works

STEP, 4

Start of property restoration works

After moving out items from the old office, the property restoration work will commence. Typically, the office recovery period is as follows:
Less than 100 m²: about 1 week
Less than 300 m²: about 2 weeks
Larger spaces: around 3 weeks
In the early planning stage, we will review the building’s construction regulations and restoration requirements, and finalize the schedule accordingly.

Completion of restoration work and timely handover of the former tenant space

STEP, 5

Completion of restoration work and timely handover of the former tenant space

After the completion of the restoration work, CRAFTEC, the building management, and the client will conduct an on-site inspection to verify the restoration status. The keys are returned, and the necessary documents prepared by the building management are signed, marking the completion of the restoration work.
